Decal Removal: The Issue

Most die-cast manufacturers use decals to enhance their vehicles paint job's and add character to different editions of their models.

They're often dynamic, highly detailed and well worth keeping but can include manufacturers marks, logos and other elements you might not want on your conversion.

You can remove decals with a cotton bud dipped in acetone but this dulls the paint finish and quickly starts eating into the paint.

The following method softens the decal enough for it to be gently removed - either completely or selectively without damaging the paintwork - on both metal & plastic bodies.

The remaining decal can be treated normally for the rest of the conversion.

PARTIAL OR FULL REMOVAL WITHOUT AFFECTING PAINTWORK.
